Through the wisdom of community organizing, this workshop will explore campaign development and how to build power and have the greatest possible impact. This is a great opportunity for those both new and more experienced in social justice work to come together to learn and envision the next phase of our community’s social justice work. This workshop is hosted by JOIN for Justice as part of a national training series.
NCJW and NCJW Pittsburgh are co-sponsors of this event.
NCJW is committed to ensuring that all children have equal access to education, and the Back 2 School Store (B2SS) is a mechanism for helping underprivileged children begin the school year on an equal footing with their peers.
While the children select their items with a volunteer personal shopper in the B2SS, parents visit our Resource Room to connect with local organizations and agencies for assistance with health care, parenting, financial literacy, career development, and other social services.
Our goal is to prepare students for success by fostering positive self-esteem and sparking enthusiasm for the upcoming school year. In 2017, we plan to serve 600 children!
Join us for a fun-filled, co-ed day of golf, tennis, swimming, dinner, and more to benefit the Center for Women.
The Center for Women (CFW) was launched in 2013 in partnership with the Jewish Women’s Foundation with the mission of helping women in transition to achieve financial independence. The CFW offers internship and mentoring programs, career coaching, financial fitness workshops and more. We have served more than 1,100 women in just over three years.
Join us for a Starry Night!
Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres PLUS the opportunity to shop Designer Days before the sale opens to the public! Get first choice of all the new and gently-worn fashions for women, men, and children from your favorite designer labels.
Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door.
Order your tickets now and save $5 off the door price!
Join us for the Mad Mex Benefit Dinner to support the Center for Women, and help women in Pittsburgh find economic stability and independence.
Enjoy a buffet dinner of chicken wings, steak and portabella mushroom fajitas, rice and dessert bar. Soft drinks will be available and guests 21 and over can choose a Dos Equis draft or Mad Mex House Margarita as part of your ticket purchase.
We only have 50 seats at this dinner so please don’t delay in purchasing your tickets! If you’d like to support the CFW and can’t attend, you can purchase a ticket for a CFW client to attend the benefit dinner! All of the proceeds will support the program offered at the CFW.
This benefit dinner is family friendly! There will be valet parking available that evening. Unfortunately this location is not handicap accessible.
