1979NCJW opens the Jane B. Lobl Children's Waiting Room in Family Court in the City-County Building for children brought into the courts by families involved in various proceedings.
1990NCJW opens a similar facility for the Juvenile Division of the Court.
2000NCJW opened a second facility in the Criminal Court of Allegheny County. This room was for families involved in criminal proceedings.
20022002 At the invitation of the City of Pittsburgh and the strong support of the Women's Center and Shelter of Pittsburgh, a third room was opened at the Municipal Court on First Avenue. This room cares for children whose parents are victims of domestic violence.
2006NCJW collaborated with the state to accept children of jurors in an effort to increase the diversity of the jurors pool.
