Our Mission

    The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

NEW: CHILDREN'S ROOMS CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY

For 30 years, the Children's Rooms have provided a safe and fun play space for children of jurors and other people with court business in Allegheny County. This free service is available to all. Read all about it in Pop City's article and the official press release.

NCJW SUPPORTS THE PITTSBURGH PROMISE

NCJW Pittsburgh Section has become the first non-foundation, non-profit community group to contribute to the Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship Fund. In addition, NCJW is the first community group to join the recently announced Committee of 100, a group of local leaders seeking to raise funds and support from influential business leaders for the educational initiative. ORAL HISTORY PROJECT
