Dear Ladies:

The students and staff at Barrett Elementary School wish to thank you for your generous donation of backpacks and school supplies. We have received many positive comments and phone calls from parents regarding yesterday's event. The media coverage was an excellent portrayal of how cooperation and teamwork should be presented. The students were very excited and surprised upon receiving their "Batchpacks." Thank you again for partnering with the Best of the Batch Foundation to provide this opportunity for our students.

Sincerely,
The Staff and Students of Barrett Elementary School

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent care that my children have received at the Jane B. Lobl Children's Waiting Room during my jury service. As a stay-at-home mom, I was a bit reluctant to place my children in the care of someone that I didn't know. My reservations were quickly calmed when I met the friendly staff and saw the wonderful facilities. By the end of the second day, my 3-year-old was having so much fun that I had to coax him to leave. I can't thank you enough for providing this service.

Luanna Hollingshead was beaten by her adoptive parents, became a mother twice by the age of 21, and was abused for many years by the man with whom she lived, using drugs with him and resorting to prostitution to support them both. She was in jail for a while and finally got clean. After becoming homeless, she went to Bethlehem Haven, graduated from its Step-Up program, and then found her way to NCJW and Thriftique through our partnership with Bethlehem Haven's Project Employ program. Luanna has been a sales associate with Thriftique for more than a year and brings a smile to everyone's face with her infectious enthusiasm.
