One Woman Makes a Difference
It is our place to ensure the well-being of the people and the ideas
that we cherish. Through us, and by us, is the flame lit anew. We care
for the present with fervor and with compassion. But we are not
finished. For who shall carry on our work? Who will have the capacity
and the will to do what we have done? If we have not planted for our
children, can we rest?
The Challenge Today
The continuing challenge for NCJW, Pittsburgh Section, is to survey
community needs and develop projects to meet those needs, using NCJW
resources, volunteers and collaborative and funding partners. There are
opportunities for service that are not addressed because of limited
resources. The availability of permanent funds will ensure NCJW's
ability to carry out its mission locally, now and in the future.
From Generation to Generation
Generations of women have volunteered their time and financial resources
to ensure the health and financial viability of the Pittsburgh Section.
We read in the Talmud, "As my fathers planted for me, so I plant for my
children." It is our turn to plant for our children and future
generations. As we sow, so shall we reap.
Membership
Membership in the NCJW Heritage Society provides an opportunity to
"plant" for the future. The donor may establish a permanent endowment in
his or her name, as a memorial, or in recognition of another individual.
Individuals may become members by designating a bequest or an estate
gift, or by making a current contribution of cash, stock or other
eligible asset. In the case of a bequest or estate gift, membership is
conferred when the planned gift is promised. In the case of current
contributions, a total pledge may be payable over five years and
membership will be conferred when the pledge is made.
Membership Levels:
Blue Ribbon: $5,000
Bronze: $10,000
Silver: $25,000
Gold: $50,000
Diamond: $100,000+
The NCJW Heritage Society provides a means to build an endowment to
ensure the future of NCJW, Pittsburgh Section. We are planting the seeds
for the harvest of the future. Members of the NCJW Heritage Society will
be recognized annually. Your support of NCJW is a bridge to the future.
Please consider how your generosity can become the foundation of
personal commitment to women, children and families.
