Is it Spring yet? No one is looking forward to warm weather more than our staff at Designer Days Boutique, Home Consignments, and Thriftique. Although sales took a bit of a hit in January and February, based on reports from other retailers NCJW stores fared fairly well during this record-breaking winter. Thank you to our determined staff for managing to remain open every day despite the snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures.
Besides the weather, other exciting changes are coming your way this spring. Planning is in full swing for our third Spring Designer Days, April 24–27 at our Home Consignments store warehouse in Swissvale. This event will be the first in a series of warehouse sales that will provide multiple convenient opportunities for our members and customers to shop our low-cost, unrivaled collection of gently-worn, high-end clothing and accessories.
We welcome the extraordinary Carolyn Jensen as chair of this event. Carolyn has been a dedicated NCJW volunteer for years, and we couldn’t be more pleased that she has graciously offered her talents in this leadership role. Thanks to her and the creativity of our committee members, we promise you an exciting, fun, and unique shopping experience. We hope you’ll join us!
In order for Designer Days and our stores to be successful, we need you…AND your stuff ! As you know, proceeds from the social enterprises of NCJW directly fund the operation and projects of our organization. There are an endless number of venues vying for your gently used items, so we graciously ask that you keep NCJW at the
top of your list.
Making a tax-deductible donation to NCJW is easy, easy, easy! We provide the following options:
- Drop-off Closet Anathan House, 1620 Murray Avenue, Squirrel Hill. Open during office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
