A Reminder of Thriftique’s Donation Policy

As we head into the New Year we often see a huge uptick in donations. We look forward to donations and we love that you choose to support our mission! We want to make sure we are able to accept as many useful & saleable donations as possible and keep our staff safe. To support NCJW’s mission and Thriftique efforts to maintain a quality selection of diverse merchandise, please consider the following information before leaving your donation:

  • If you would not donate this product to a friend or family member in need, please donate/dispose of your goods elsewhere.

  • For several reasons, including safety, Thriftique only accepts donations during business hours. Leaving donations outside of regular business hours constitutes “dumping” and undermines Thriftique’s ability to operate efficiently and provide the excellent service our customers expect and deserve. We thank you for returning during normal business hours and appreciate your donation!

Due to our small staff and in some cases state laws we do have limitations to what we can accept. Please DO NOT leave any of the following items, which will be immediately discarded:

  • Electronics (e.g., iPods/music players, smart watches, computer monitors, televisions, lightbulbs, etc.)

  • Used Appliances/utilities (e.g., blenders, coffee makers, microwaves, mixers, etc.)

  • Medical supplies (e.g., canes, walkers, diapers, etc.)

  • Bed frames, mattresses, toppers, bedding/linens

  • Baby loungers, car seats, cribs, strollers

  • Undergarments, underwear, lingerie

  • Clothing hangers

  • Newspaper/wrapping paper, disposable bags (paper/plastic)
