Third MomsWork Mom-Owned Market coming to Thriftique June 13!
The Mom Owned Market, Pittsburgh’s only vendor event dedicated to showcasing local mom-preneurs is back and coming to Thriftique on Saturday, June 13th from 11am-4pm! Over 20 vendors who identify as moms will offer handmade goods, fresh food, clothing, and services at this free, family-friendly event.
According to a recent Business Insider report, in the past 20 years the number of women-owned firms in the US has more than doubled, and half of all new businesses started during the pandemic were founded by women. Demonstrating the growing influence and potential of mom-preneurs in driving economic growth, more and more mothers are betting on themselves and choosing entrepreneurship as a viable and rewarding career option. The Mom Owned Market strives to celebrate and empower local mom-owned businesses with this yearly event.
This year’s event will be a little different from past ones. This time, we will be outside of Thriftique, and the market be happening during Lawrenceville Pride, which will be centered around the corner.
Want to get involved with the fun? We are currently looking for volunteers to help with set up and break down, and to support our wonderful vendors.
