Protect and Promote the Vote: History of the Local Suffrage Movement

This event will also be two-fold: 

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. As we work to promote and protect the vote for all, join us for a discussion with Eliza Smith Brown, Chair of Pittsburgh Suffrage 100 about the history of the local suffrage movement and the role that Western Pennsylvanian women played to ensure a women’s right to vote and the passage of the 19th amendment. 

We will write letters through Vote Forward as described above.
